Santiago has an awesome subway system. They call it the "Metro", which is a bit of a joke in Spanish. It's too much like the word for a meter. They have signs up (sorry, I didn't get a picture) saying something like "One Metro equals 200 kilometers". Very clever.

For less than one dollar, you can go anywhere in the city.
